Sellout

How is this game not sold out yet crazy. On a side note a friend of my sent me this link to somebody trying to send their dad to this game via Go fund me. Atleast non Utah BYU fans r trying to make it. Lol

I think the progressive ticket prices hurt attendance. BYU is probably making more money selling fewer seats this way, but leaves some seats open and no true sellout. Cheap seats in end zone are $55-$65 bucks and sideline nosebleeds are $75-$85. I bit the bullet and bought 4 seats, but these are not casual fan friendly prices.

They ran the usual ticket Tuesday promo offering 10 off tickets. Funny to me people complain about bad home games you get a good and people don't go.

I'm going, but I can see why people don't go. It is cheaper to got to the UCLA game, Michigan game, Missourri game, probably most others than BYU home game. Also, going to those away games is usually cheaper to go through them directly or even a ticket service than through BYU tickets. It should be a little cheaper if you've already forked out money to be cougar club member you would think.

I guess I'll quit complaining that USU doubles the ticket price for the BYU game and I had to pay $40/ticket for a nosebleed. Oh, what am I saying, the stadium is too small to have nosebleed seats. I just hope USU fields a better offense than the one that put up 3 points on SUU :roll:

Sideline tix for BYU vs Mizzou at Arrowhead start (start!) at $125 each. That's at the 10 yard line and they get higher the closer you get to the 50. Not sure what LES is charging these days, but man.

Out of the tickets for my "4 for 40" this home game was the cheapest. I could have gotten $50 seats, but I chose to pay $85. I needed one more ticket and was able to find one on the row right behind my $85 seats for $60, go figure. It is expensive to go to a stadium, but it is the experience that you are paying for. I would guess that it is the traffic that is more of a deterrent, than the prices.

We bought sideline, between 20-30 yd line, row 28 for $95, but we bought them a couple of months ago.

Welcome to big time college football. In big time college football, the only cheap tickets typically go to the students.

I'm ok with that if they keep a good product on the field.

Season tix for BYU are so cheap, I don't see why people still complain about them. U go to other top programs your not getting in that cheap.

Gotta figure that if we ever get into a P5 conference, prices will only go up. But that is what we want, right?

Single season tickets for Oklahoma State, cheapest ticket for the game against Central Arkansas is $75. Against TCU cheapest ticket is $95. Season tickets seem to start at $400.



I think BYU's $20 tickets and $100 season tickets are a pretty good deal.

I have not purchased single game tix in years, but it seems that there is a real premium for buying onesy-twosy vs purchasing season tix. So the best bet is to buy season tix and sell the ones you don't want. You could probably break even by selling 3 games

Last year I easily could have had better seats and spent less if I didn't buy season tickets. We had middle of the north end zone seats (which totally sucked due to the way all sound is projected from that side) and if we had waited for the week of the games byu was selling them cheaper almost every week. Even our opening games when things were looking good didn't sell out it seems.

I guess it's all a gamble of if we actually have a great season you want to make sure you have seats but even then people just don't want to go in person as much now.

Btw- I did buy them again this year ;) didn't want to miss out seeing super taysom :sick:

Maybe it is mostly on the fact that it's at 8:15 PM on a Saturday night? I'll admit it, had someone not given me two free tickets on the 25 yard line, I would have been watching it from home. I'm just trying to put my finger on the reason how a game against a ranked BSU doesn't motivate the fans any more. We've all ragged on the blue-hairs for many years, but it can be said of them at least they attended the games and they were usually sell-outs. Nebraska has sold out home games since 1962 and we can't sell out the 1st home game against a decent opponent. Holmoe has to be scratching his head.



Honestly, I don't buy season tickets any more because I've reached a point where I can really enjoy a game from my recliner. I'm telling you, that game last year vs. Virginia where I literally burnt to a crisp baking in that hot, hot sun in the east bleachers was far from fun. Yeah, there is something special about a game day experience, but I still believe it has a lot to do also with the lack of tailgating culture in BYU fans in general.
