Before the season started we were #49 and we just beat #28 according to Sagarin. Next up is BSU who was #33.

Sagarin now has us #38. Next up BSU at #30. Nebraska fell to #40.

Been waiting all morning for the polls. Thanks Ungoy. Nebraska fell to #41. A win on Saturday should move us into the top 25. I think UCLA is too low.

BYU moves up to #28 in the AP poll.

This AP poll is different and has us at #27. Not sure about the previous post. {edit} found out it was an ESPN poll that got misplaced as the AP poll.

Hence, if we beat Boise State, I think we are in the top 25.

Thanks, I wish it were my original thought. I read it somewhere, and it made me chuckle...because it is so true.

The fact that Auburn is even in the poll still, much less in the top 15, shows how ludicrous it is that there are preseason and early-season polls. The first poll shouldn't come out until October.

I agree. Get through your first four non conference games and see how everyone stacks up after that.

Move up in Sagarin to #26. Fell to AP 22 Coaches 27.

I think it's bogus that you lead the #10 team in the nation for nearly the entire game, and lose by 1 point, and then drop out of the polls. Garbage.

Take the ranking with a grain of salt. Most of the votes were placed earlier because of the lateness of the game. It was after midnight when all was said and done. Some hubris shown from MWC votes that despise BYU. A win against MI will lead to a similar jump upwards in the polls.
