Mauk is off of his suspension. They were 1-3 without him.

Missouri suspended it's starting QB yesterday for the rest of the season - for undisclosed disciplinary reasons. A Freshman QB will start instead.

Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk has been suspended for the remainder of the season, the school announced on Sunday.



The quarterback was reinstated on Oct. 25 after missing four games while serving a suspension for “disciplinary reasons related to violation of team policies.”



Freshman Drew Lock has played in Mauk’s absence, completing 77 of 152 passes for 763 yards and three touchdowns so far this season.

I'll be at the Mizzou game, "just" a 3 hour drive from St. Louis!



Missouri is really bad this year. They lost to a really really bad Vanderbilt team. We have to beat Missouri. No doubt we are the better team.



That Fr QB does have potential. He's more of a pocket passer than the suspended Jr. He's got an arm.

I follow Vandy pretty closely. This is definitely a down year for Mizzou. I am of the opinion that Tejan, Tanner, Mitch, Alge, et al should THROTTLE them. This could very well be a statement game against the SEC.

They still have a tough D. I don't expect Missouri to score much unless we make big mistakes like pick 6s or fumbles.

Yesterday Missouri scored a TD against Mississippi State ... so that streak is over.



I watched part of the game, played in one of the more impressive rain storms I've seen (truly, someone turned a spigot on). What impressed me about Missouri was their 2 talented running backs: hard running, fast, and hit the seams and corners really well. They will be a challenge.



If the Cougs are going to win, they will need an offense that is moving, and the defense is going to have to play TOUGH. We have a stout run defense (at times) ... it will need to be stout next week.



I still pick Cougs for a good win.

It will be interesting to see what happens this week with the Missouri football team. There are rumblings on Twitter that many of the African-American players are joining a hunger strike and solidarity, social justice movement demanding the ouster of the university president who needs to increase funding to fight racism on campus and repudiate - after admitting to his - white privilege.

What from what I've read of their complaints, they all seem to be largely non-issues. Why they are making it all such an issue, I have no idea. But hey, if this makes Missouri less cohesive as a team and easier to beat, great.

Thank you, that worked!

Bronco reported that Koroma will play against Missouri and Mathews is ready for more reps (he did play some vs SJSU).

Johnson and Lapuaho are both questionable and not on the 2-deep.

Hine indicated his high ankle sprain still hurts some but he is expected to keep working his way back.

Bronco himself is over his illness.

Houk suffered a concussion last week and must pass protocol to play this week.

Roll call!! Who else is going to this game? I'll be there for the Friday night fireside and all of the pre-game BYU activities!



Also, anyone know if I can bring my game worn BYU helmet into the stadium? Sadly, I can't remember whose helmet it was (except that it was a center sometime before '94 because that's when I got it) because the tag came off and my wife threw it away...



Edit...I think the helmet belonged to Jim Edwards who played from 89, 92-94. And according to this picture from the Chiefs website it is not expressly forbidden...
