Per twitter:

The home game against Wisconsin in 2019 has been rescheduled to September 16, 2017 at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

So that makes the 2017 season look like this:

Sat 9/2 LSU - Advocare Texas Kickoff @ NRG Stadium (Houston, TX)

Sat 9/9 Utah

Sat 9/16 Wisconsin

Sat 9/23 OPEN

Fri 9/29 @ Utah State

Sat 10/7 Boise State

Sat 10/14 @ Mississippi State

Sat 10/21 @ East Carolina Pirates

Sat 10/28 San Jose State

Sat 11/4 @ Fresno State

Sat 11/11 @ UNLV

Sat 11/18 UMass

Sat 11/25 @ Hawaii

I suppose you could still see a FCS home game fill that spot open in week 4 but that is another tough schedule with some great games at home!

It appears this was done to help Wisconsin adhere to the B1G scheduling guidelines:

- USF adds UMass in 2017, moves Wisconsin game out to 2019

- Wisconsin trades the 2017 @ USF game with the 2019 @ BYU game

Now Wisconsin plays Utah State, Florida Atlantic, and BYU in 2017--BYU counts as P5 where USF did not.

I like. Hopefully we can do some more horse trading.

Interesting that the move helps balance the 2017 through 2020 schedules. We now have 4 P5 opponents in 2017, 2019, and 2020, with 2 of those at home each year. 2018 still has 5 P5 opponents - only 1 at home. So, may be we still see some change to the 2018 schedule.

Another interesting observation is that the moves seem to give BYU some flexibility if we do join a conference - in say 2017....as I mentioned above, BYU has 4 OOC P5 opponents most years, which could fit well into an 8-game Big 12 schedule - cancel the G5 games.

Probably also helps BYU find a replacement for ND on the future schedules. The Irish aren't coming to Provo.

Do you think ND would do neutral-site games with BYU? Neutral-site games in California or Las Vegas or Phoenix or Texas or even New York or Atlanta - some under BYU's TV rights - would be better than no games at all, or even a settlement payment.

Would be worth BYU's proposing such a deal to ND. You could probably work w/ NFL teams too.

I'm sure the 49ers would listen to a ND game coming to their stadium. As would other NFL teams.
