Anyone want $10 Vegas Bowl tickets?

Have I mentioned that I would have been able to go and the only expense I would have would have been a ticket, but my younger brother gets home from his mission (from Oregon, no less) on the same day and I will miss even watching most of the bowl game on TV? I'm starting to think that the Oregonians got to him and convinced him to come home tomorrow just to ruin my bowl party...

I plan to take advantage of these tickets.

My sister planned her third wedding to kick off at 6 pm in Provo. I got lucky with a pregnant wife that made travel "impossible." Then we find out the ward Christmas party is tonight at 7 pm, wife is on activities committee. Foxtrot Mike Lima.

Our High Priest group Christmas party is tonight. One of our members owns a 50-foot yacht in Newport Beach, CA. The group is getting together for a nice cruise of the harbor. Pot luck dinner. Boring old man kind of stuff. Planned, of course by our group leader who is a UTAH FAN!!!

Back in the early eighties, maybe '81', my older brother had his wedding reception the night of the Holiday bowl. We got a tv and put it in the church kitchen. The best man and all the groom's brothers spent most of the reception ducking in and out of the kitchen catching updates.

Apparently your wife wants to be released form her calling. The best way to get released from a calling is planning a ward activity during the same time BYU plays it's most important bowl game in decades.

Does the Ward Christmas party include Santa? If so... blow it off saying that you cannot support a Ward party that glorifies a fictional character. If not? Blow it off and say that you cannot support a ward party that refuses to include the single most recognizable figure of Christmas.
