I'm not sure Kyle could survive a 3-9 season.

3-9 with a win over BYU and Kyle would be fine, but since he refused to schedule BYU I think his job would be hottest. His AD already wants to get rid of him, so that would be an easy excuse.

To go 8-5, 8-5, 8-5, and then go 3-9 after him reasserting control over the defense and with all that senior talent on offense? Even I'd be calling for Bronco's job if he goes 3-9 this season as the trajectory would seem to be pointing down.



Whittingham has at least shown improvement the last two seasons, and his team performed above expectations last year.



At best I would say Whittingham's seat would be equally hot, but I really think Bronco's would be much hotter given the fan base.

I picked Kyle, but it's just because of his relationship with his AD. I think 2 of the 3 would lose their job with that record (Bronco would resign, maybe with a little pressure).

I picked Kwhit. Tom Holmoe loves Bronco as does the board of trustees at BYU. Matt well would be second in line. 2 losing seasons at BYU would get Bronco's seat hot though. Fans don't matter, only the AD and at BYU the board of trustees.

Definitely Whitt. For some reason Hill already doesn't like him and would love a way to get rid of him. Their fans would be on board with it as well.



Wells would keep his job.



Bronco would likely keep it but the fans would be livid and he'd probably be gone the next year.

I picked KW (for all the reasons listed below). I've stated before that BM's job is his until he doesn't want it anymore, and I stand by that. If he has a 3-9 season, he no longer has the luxury of picking and choosing if he stays and if he goes. He will need to bounce back in 2016 with a winning record and bowl invite to regain the former status. If he doesn't, then he will resign (under pressure from TH and BOT).

But, it's definitely KW. If BYU goes 3-9, it will mean that Taysom gets injured. If Taysom stays healthy, even with this killer schedule they go 6-6 at worse. Which will be bad enough, as is. But this is all Toms big gamble. If BYU goes 10-2 or better and makes some serious noise nationally, it may pay off. If it goes 3-9, flush it and if it repeats 3-9 in 2016, with big loss to Utah, bye bye Bronco; bye bye espn; bye bye P5; hello groveling/hobbling back to MWC.
