2015 Bowl question

Surprising to find out that BYU could end up at the end of this year in either the Hawaii Bowl or the Las Vegas Bowl.



The blaring question, "Neither bowl had agreements in place yet for 2015?"



I mean I understand they probably have one conference tied to the bowl such as the MWC, but, wow that seems really unusual to find out on the last day of April of the same year the games will be played that where the supposed opponent to play in either bowl was so unknown.

The 2015 and 2019 spot is where the MWC usually is but they are vacating the spot to play in the Armed Forces Bowl in those years. So they would have been looking for an "at large".

During two years of the six-year cycle, Mountain West teams will play in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas. During one of those years, the conference will vacate its spot in the Las Vegas Bowl and it will vacate the Hawaii Bowl in the other.
