What does BYU need in an assistant hoops coach?

Is now the right time to bring Quincy Lewis on board at BYU?

Or would that create a bit of divided attention with all the Lone Peak guys coming in who are used to listening to Lewis to have him around as a subordinate to Rose?

Do we need to focus on getting a defensive coach on staff? Pope was the defensive assistant (say what you will about how effective he was at that...)

Do we need to focus on a post-player-developing coach? Pope was also the assistant over our bigs....maybe Stew Morrill will come to Provo for a less-stressful assistant position now that he's retired from HC at USU?

He was an assistant coach at BYU from 2001-2010. Then went to BYU-Hawaii (assistant, National Championship in 2011), followed by Indian Hills Community College (29-5 as head coach). He was replaced on BYU's staff by Tim LaComb.

"I would hire Barrett Peery. He has been an assistant at Arizona State. Former JC head coach. Worked as an assistant at Utah under Boylen. Played at Southern Utah. I know a couple of really big time LDS recruits really like him. Now that ASU fired their coach he will be on the market." Is from Payson and LDS.

The man Wardenburg worked for and later replaced at Indian Hills.
