Positives from Ole Miss Game

As the thread title says this is the place for positives from the game.



First of all Corbin Kaufusi played a great game. 6 points, 6 rebounds and a block is a very good game for a freshman on a big stage. This should launch him into a great sophomore year.



KC wasn't badly hurt and is coming back to the team.



Fischer showed up in a really big game. He was also dialed in defensively. We are going to need big effort from him every night.



Frank Bartley got some more good experience. I hope he can take it to heart. He needs to watch the film of the game again and figure what were the correct plays.



That's all I have. Any other positives y'all saw?

Tyler Haws finally showed up in a big game.



Bartley didn't shoot at the wrong basket.

This team is exciting to watch. The tempo beats the crapfest you most often see.

We don't have to watch 2nd half meltdowns anymore this season.



Haws looked great.



Fischer looked grood (great in 1st, goodish in 2nd)

Rose (probably) figured out that he can start KC at point, or win NCAA games, but not both.

The first half was awesome.

NCAA playoff experience will help this team and likely provide them an incentive to work hard in the off-season. We will bring back several players who were significant contributors this year (KC, Kafusi, Fisher, Bartley) complimented with existing role players: Toolson, Neilson, Nixon, Worthington along with future starters: Aytes, Davis, Austin and we have a very good and deep team. Factor in some of the incoming freshmen (Emery, Harstock, Seljas) and their is very good talent in the pipeline.

There. Fixed it. Bartley won't see the floor next year with all the incoming kids. AND THATS A HUGE POSITIVE.

Since baseball sucks, it's officially just lacrosse season now.

Bartley will play a role similar to how Winder's career developed - improved each year. He just needs some more time to develop consistency - and control on his drives to the basket. Rough game with moments of good play. This game will serve as a very good learning experience for him heading into his Jr. year.

Been three seasons of charges. Not like Winder.

Winder was our starting PG as a Freshman and was doing a pretty good job of it before MC took over. He had some good numbers. I would be thrilled if Bartley's numbers were near Winder's.



Bartley has the athleticism. Needs to let the game come to him.

Biggest positive is KC didn't get injured.



Haws put up 33 in his last game.



Bartley only had 2 turnovers and that was a shocker to me when I saw it was only 2.



I don't have to take a day off of work on Thursday

The game didn't end in a rage-fueled, embarrassing brawl. Ended with high fives and good sportsmanship.

I worked extra hours on Monday and Tuesday so that I could flex part of Thursday off to watch the game... Well, now I get to do something else with my time off.

KC had that sick alley-oop dunk. It was so vicious that he got the rim stuck in a non-standard position. It was off kilter afterwards and had to be popped back into place.



No coaching jackets were harmed during the game.

KC will come back next year and will work on his shot in the off season.
