Bubble Watch Items

Feel free to add your own as you see'em happen.



The Good

- Indiana lost to Mich St. - probably won't drop them as much as I'd like. But they've got the spot right ahead of us, so maybe it will at least bump them down 1?

- Texas A&M chocked vs. Bama. Should definitely move us ahead of them on the curve



The Bad

- Miami won - only bad because it doesn't knock them off the bubble, but it doesn't really help them either.

- Temple won - see item above

- LSU upset Arkansas - they were ahead of us already, but that probably locks them in pretty good

- #8 Wichita St. lost to Illinois St. in the conf. semis. This is the worst thing that has happened all day. One less spot in the field for BYU now.



In Progress

- Purdue vs Illinois - both on the bubble. A purdue loss would probably put them behind us, while Illinois I think would stay behind us even with the win. So I say go Illinois.

- Texas & K State duking it out - Texas loss knocks them out of the bubble conversation

- Utah struggling with Washington - Not bubble related, but always good

UMass got whooped by GW. Doesn't help our RPI/good wins.

Watching the Texas v K St game, and it looks like the Indiana loss put them below BYU on the curve now. A Texas win puts them in according to Lunardi, but I'm not sure if that would be above or below BYU.

Good: Portland beats SMC. I like our chances a lot better vs the Pilots than vs Waldow and the Gaels.

Why is there one less spot in the field? The MVC is getting in 2 teams with Wichita State and Northern Iowa. Both are top 15. As long as Northern Iowa wins their tourney all is good.

ah, good call. Complete oversight on my part. I really did not think they were in the same conference. Well, hopefully N Iowa takes care of business then. Up by 8 with 15 left to play right now.

I would think not since WV is not a bad loss. Dayton's loss to La Salle though...

After today's movement - BYU is now listed as the first team in the Last 4 in (as per me watching Sports Center right now).



If Utah St. can pull the upset against CSU tonight, that would probably move us into the first four bye category.

To state the obvious, just win baby!

NC St and Pitt lost. Also St John's and Rhode Island went down.

NC State beat Syracuse. This was one of the few times I would actually root for the Orange...

It feels like things are setting up pretty well for us. We have avoid letdowns against Santa Clara and Portland.
