Player Ratings Thru Gonzaga (2)

Here are the updated player ratings which adds the last three games:

Right now KC is just above Jimmer's 23.56 PER set in 2010-2011. Haws has dipped below 20 with a bad Gonzaga game. Kaufusi had his best statistical performance against the Zags.



This team seems to be rolling and I'm excited to see how far we can go!

I think it's amazing that we only had one player in the green and still beat a great Gonzaga team, in a year where multiple players having a good game is often a requirement for a win against anyone.

Thanks again 4ever. Kaufusi at 18 pts was second. That bodes well for BYU now and in the future. Andrus had 1.5 but his 2 free throws iced the win. That too bodes well.



I assume this doesn't take a lot of defense in to account or the team, which may have played their best defense this year, would have had higher numbers. CK had to have benefited from those great blocks though. How much were the Gonzaga players intimidated by Kaufusi( who wasn't intimidated by them)? How much were they intimidated by a 6'3" kid coming out of nowhere for a block.

It takes into account all the stats from the standard box score minus fouls. The best thing you can do besides score points is get steals and assists. But yeah, it doesn't measure things like how KC played great deny defense so Pangos couldn't get the ball when he wanted it and then when he did, forced him into bad shots. And it doesn't measure how 12 guys can come together and play as a TEAM. I'm sure the guys at ESPN have better formulas, but it works for me. I developed it while playing an online college basketball sim...
