BYU Player Ratings Thru Pacific (2)

Life got really busy at home and work and I have to admit that after we lost to San Diego I didn't watch again until Saint Mary's. Here are the updated player ratings:

Makes it clear who our best player is right now. Good news is he's coming back next year.

Love and miss Haws and winder. What's that 30 ppg between the two add Skyler's 8 ppg and that's 38.



But I am encouraged by the following line up. Biggest uncertainty is at the 3, but a good team. Solid two-deep. Maybe KC could play the 3 on D and some point, as Emery will be ready to run and gun. I still think Toolson has a lot of upside. That boy can shoot the rock.



Collinsworth/Emery

Fisher/Chapman/Calvert

Bartley/Toolson?/Hartsock?

Aytes/Davis

Austin/Kaufusi

Don't forget about Calvert. That kid can straight ball. When we made a run at the tourney 2 years ago it was because Rose got Calvert off the bench finally and played him next to Carlino. I would not be surprised to see him start next year at point, or get serious minutes, with Emery at the 2, if he's not ready for the 1 or doesn't want to play it.

I'm not sure Hartsock is quick enough for the 3, but he is tall, 6'8" and has a really nice outside shot and post moves. If he can guard the 3, he would be overpowering with his size and shooting. I'll bet he's more of a 4 though.

I was wondering the same as I have not seen anything official and I thought maybe I had missed it.

It also seems that Haws has kind of disappeared, to a certain extent, the last several games as well.

No, not a for sure thing, but as good as Collinsworth is becoming, I don't think he's ready for the NBA yet. Seems to me he could really benefit from another year in college. He especially needs to extend his shooting range. I have no idea what the pro scouts are thinking about him though.

I don't think he's disappeared so much as gone about his business quietly. He's stilling scoring points, we just have had other guys step up and produce so we haven't needed to live and die by how Tyler performs.

I checked the ncaa sight. For scoring it goes up to Feb. 12 but as of that day Haws has hundreds of guys under him but only one ahead of him.

I follow the NBA draft fairly closely and I don't KC is on anyone's draft boards yet. His triple doubles will help them learn his name. But coming off the knee injury and the lack of outside shooting will scare everyone off.

You'll notice that playing time and responsibility went up as well. One often begets the other. Glad Rose found his way there.
