No right or wrong answer here, just wonder who you think the best 2 guards are:

I picked A and C. Don't know who A is but he has the second best stats overall. C is Kyle Collinsworth so that one is a no brainer.

C and D.

A struggles to shoot inside the 3 pt line. To me A and D is a toss-up so I went with the more efficient player. If we knew who they were I would have been swung by defensive ability.

C just has across the board contributions-looks like a skilled SF's stats than a shooting guard's.

I went C and D.

C is clearly KC given the rebounds and I know he's averaging 5.8 assists. C does have a lot of turnovers, though, to go with his assists, giving him an assist to turnover ratio of 1.76 (not great). The guard with the overall best assist to turnover ratio is B with 1.47.

C is clearly the best rebounder and is averaging the most steals at 2.3/game. Solid shooting at 47% and solid from the line. Aside from the turnovers (big hole) the only other hole in C's game is 3 point shooting at 31% which is below average for a guard and the worst of the bunch.

D may be the overall best guard. D does a solid job taking care of the ball with the second lowest assist/turnover ratio (1.5). D is the second best rebounder of the bunch with 3.9/game. D has the highest shooting percentage at 51% and is averaging the most points/game. D also has the second highest 3 point percentage (just barely) at 38.5%. Steals are at 1.3/game, on par with A. D is clearly the best shooter/scorer of the bunch, a solid defender and rebounder, and takes care of the ball.

When Matt Carlino was on his game BYU was very, very good. The problem is, he disappeared for long stretches of the year. If we could have him here and have him consistently good, we would be contending with Gonzaga for the conference title this year.

He's basically shooting better from the line and better from the arc this year; however, last year he had more assists, rebounds, steals, and points per game.

BYU likely has better shooters, which explains the better assists while at the Y (feeding Haws the ball does wonders for your assists number).

As I've said in the past, what BYU/Carlino really needed last year was a legitimate 2. Too bad Winder was injured last year.
