Lance Anderson DC at Stanford

Rumors are floating that Michigan wants Lance. He is LDS and very good coach. What if Bronco is looking to retire or leave? Have Lance come in at DC for a year and then make him the head coach when Bronco leaves. Possibly after this season.

I hope Bronco will look at making changes to his staff. His current staff isn't cutting it. It is a very stagnant program. It's neither getting better or worse. We're stuck at 8-5. Things need to be shaken up.

Spiff, wow, thats a little constrained as a metric. You may think that is the only metric that counts--and in the end-- thats true; but had BMs defense not taken a total dive--"WORSE" in ten years, (NOT "not better or worse, but stagnant") BYU wins at least two more games.

I just really think Bronco needs some new blood on defense. The offense seems to be functioning quite well as a coaching staff. There seems to be good cohesion on that side of the ball that is fairly recently put together.



But Bronco hasn't really brought in any new blood on the defense since Jamie Hill, and he's been gone for four-plus years. Everyone else new to the defensive coaching staff is a Bronco acolyte. He needs new blood that didn't grow up in the program.

As much as I love BYU, what exactly do we have to offer a DC who's been at Stanford and who's being pursued by Michigan. Do we have the money or prestige compared to Michigan? This is another hurdle for BYU: much like with the players we get, the coaches we get will often be because they either fly under the radar/are under-appreciated or because they really want to be at BYU.

A DC spot that in a year or two changes into the HC. That assumes the coach is good enough to be HC.
