Bronco Applied For WI Coaching Job

And they took the guy from Colorado St over Bronco? This hopefully should tone down the disillusionment that some fans have of Bronco being an elite head coach and getting whatever job out there he wants.

I agree with Schmoe.

And, Im not sure I buy this at face value. Maybe they contacted Bronco and then put him on a list.

Now no one need think I am naive enough to think that Bronco wouldn't bail on BYU, I just don't see it. He's not necessarily motivated by money and is making decent money at BYU (if 2mm is true); but who knows, maybe he did it to show BYU he isn't just going to stay and take piddle for his next contract. I would think that he could request and be granted confidentiality in his application regardless, so he doesn't mind the info getting out in the public. His parents are aging, he has a sweet house and set up in Alpine and his kids are settling in. I really doubt he will take another job. My conclusion: he either wasn't serious about his application or this was smoke and mirrors--if the report is true at all.

My comment is not a criticism of a Bronco so get off your high horse. I want Bronco to stay. I want, for whatever reason, for Bronco to think that BYU is THE right place to coach. I don't want WI to be a step up and that BYU is just a stepping stone. If Bronco moves on and thinks a better place is out there, you won't hear me shilling away at the decision. But that will be a very bad day for BYU football in my estimation. Right now after a tough season and a tough bowl game, we need Bronco, in my estimation. That's the thrust of my comment.

I'll be happy with Bronco going anywhere else. Well, as long as Anae is not the one to take over.

Evidence that it wasn't Bronco that sent it is - you can ask to remain anonymous. I beleive that the real Bronco would have chosen to do so, he would know the recruiting hay that this kind of crap makes

AND, proof would be that if Wisc either republishes the list (bc presumably Bronco did not apply and he would contact them and ask to recant) or Bronco comes out and refutes it today or on the coming days.

If he doesn't refute or it doesn't get corrected, then Bronco did in fact apply or he doesn't mind it meeting out there for the sake of who? Discontent fans and boosters? Let's hope he wouldnt sacrifice recruiting for some other motive.
