Stanford late night

BYU lets a 10 point let turn into a one point lead going into halftime.

I thought BYU had this one about wrapped up, but it's going to be a fight.

Halford is 2nd half MVP, given assignment to play lock down defense on Randle

BYU has missed a few layups this game.

The guy definitely has his limitations but he gives it his all.

77-66 BYU at the under 4 timeout. Need to finish this one off.

Stanford getting to the rim a little too easily these last 2-3 minutes.

REally poor shot selection by HAws there. Run the clock out. Just hold the ball, don't take a 3 with 30 left on the clock up by 5.

And Stanford will take final shot down 2.

Mixed emotions.



Glad for the win, but BYU blew two 10 point leads. Ugh. Way too much excitement there at the end.

Yeah I feel the same way. This was a must win. Up by as many as 13 with under 5 minutes to go you would hope to close out a game instead of letting the other Team have the final possession to win it. Couldn't believe the 3 by Haws with 28 left on the shot clock with a minute to go and a 4 point lead. Not smart. Take the win and run. Glad Haws' ankle wasn't severe.

Got the win we were looking for. Next up is UMass. Let's get that one too and get in really good position for a NCAA bid.

Will take the W, obviously, but with a few in to go and up by 10+ that was some horrific clock management. Guess it's just not a Carilno thing.



Props Worthington tonight. He showed up and played hard. KC was solid and, of course, Haws coming back so soon on that ankle is just miraculous.

BYU did everything they possibly could to blow this game but got lucky and Stanford missed the final shot. Happy for the win. BYU has a lot of work to do.

Should never have come down to that. BYU played really well in the second half until the last 3 minutes. Yes they have a lot to work on but a lot of positive as well.

Yeah, I know. I hate being a Debbie downer but it feels like groundhog day with this team over the last couple of years. BYU plays everyone competitive but loses close games to any team with a pulse. I was totally expecting the delavadagger again against Stanford tonight because that is just what BYU does. Really need to figure out how to get wins against these teams. Luckily tonight Stanford missed.
