Thoughts/predictions on the Utah game

I'm not sure what to think. If Loveridge has been out but they still beat the Shockers, what does that say about that team?

Glad BYU I has a lot of big men to throw at their 7footer, Poopoo. Peepee? What's his name?

Will BYU fall behind in the first half only to rally behind their typical second half barage?

BYU 75- Utah 72. In a squeaker.

I am hoping this is one of the games that Fischer is just draining shot after shot after shot.

83-76 BYU

Two things to watch:

- how well it's BYU shooting the 3 early

- how tightly are the officials calling the game early



Hot early shooting by the Cougars will put a lot of offensive pressure on the Utes to score more often, increasing the pace of the game, something that benefits BYU and something the Utes don't want to do.



A tightly called game early, can get Utah into foul trouble which will limit their ability to clutch and grab and play "aggressive" defense.



I think both half and BYU wins semi-convincingly. 80-67

BYU 82 Utah 77



Loveridge out helps. We'll have to be hot from the outside, but Haws making frequent trips to the line gets us past the Pukes.

I predict that there will be a bunch of idiot utes at the game, and win or lose, they will say a bunch of stupid stuff.

And PS we win 90 to 77

Game is officially sold out. Which means the Pukers are coming.

In my 13 years living here in Utah, the Pukes travel fairly well, but it dwindled during those years when they weren't winning. Being that they are ranked, expect a lot of Pukes at the game and they are usually the kind you don't like and give a bad name to that school up north.



I have no doubt that we can beat Utah. They are a very good team (AP 13 USA 14 RPI 25). Thus far we are 1-2 against top 100 RPI teams. Vegas and ESPN thinks the Cougs will win, so who am I to argue with that. I just have a problem thinking we'll pull it together.

Man, I'm so super glad this isn't another BYUtv game as at least it will be in HD for us with DirecTv. Watching that Hawaii game in standard resolution was awful hard. I am well into my spoiled years. If I wasn't down with the flu I'd be at this game. I usually do not miss this game at home.

Just curious way espn feels the Wisconsin vs Milwaukee (espn2)game is better than the BYU v utah game (espnU)...kinda leave with a what the crap r they thinking feeling huh.
