Game time is 7 pm MDT/6 pm PST. It's airing on CBS Sports Network, which likely means you don't get it unless you have some extra sports package. On DirecTV it's channel 221, which I don't get. So, guess I'll be listening to it through the KSL mobile app.



We should win this game, though USU has a knack for giving us fits when on the road. This is obviously a HUGE game for them so they'll be up. Morrill typically has his guys ready to go against us.



USU is 3 - 2 with losses on the season to UC Davis Aggies (didn't know they have a team) and Miss. State Bulldogs. They have a win against fellow WCC conference mate Santa Clara. USU has 4 guys averaging double figures.



Top player for USU is 6'8", 215 lbs sophomore Jalen Moore. He's averaging 14.6 pts/game, 6 boards and 1 assists. He's shooting 58% from the field, 35% behind the arc and 67% from the line.



After Moore, it's freshman forward David Collette (6'8" 220 lbs). He's at 12 pts/game, 3 boards and 1.6 assists.



Darius Perkins is averaging 11 pts/game, 3.8 assists and 2.6 turnovers. He shoots 38% from the field and 41% from the arc.



We have a clear size advantage over the Aggies. USU's tallest player is 6'9" freshman Elston Jones who is averaging 12 min a game.



I suspect Rose goes with a similar lineup he did with EKY. Either way, we should walk away with a win.

BYU looking VERY good in this second half. Halford and Winder have been playing superb on the ball defense and have forced 3-4 turnovers. Love that we are pressuring the entire court and giving USU's guards fits. It's something I haven't seen at BYU for a LONG time. It has really thrown off USU's half court game.



During the last minute or two BYU gave up 2 (count em) offensive rebounds on FREE THROWS. Come on BYU can't let that happen. USU turned it into 3 points.



BYU really needs to hold onto this game and get out of Logan with the W.

This was the kind of win good teams grind out on the road. BYU hadn't won in Logan since like 2000? Amazing job at the FT line tonight. Halford was the spark to finally get things rolling in the 2nd half. Haws was Haws. Not much phases the guy. Winder is so consistent and dependable right now. For me, Worthington has probably been the biggest surprise. A 60 point second half? Wow!

This team seems to be setting into a pattern.



Haws provides efficient scoring. KC plays a great all around game. Winder provides steady secondary scoring, driving and defensive pressure. Austin does the dirty work on D and on the boards. Those 4 guys are doing almost everything.



Worthington is carving out a role as Austin Jr. doing his share of the dirty work.



Fischer and Halford are scoring wildcards. Kaufusi and Neilson are wildcards down low.



Hopefully Fischer can figure out how to be a little more consistent. We'll need him to beat Gonzaga.

Two players earned an Awesome game, Collinsworth and Haws, who had his third straight awesome game. Winder had another good performance off the bench. I think I like how the minutes were distributed this game. The bigs didn't get into foul trouble so Neilson and Kaufusi weren't needed. I like how we only had 6 TOs and had 9 steals, but I would like to see more than 13 assists.



What did you guys think of the Haws foul and double-technical? I think the officials got it right I could have seen Haws being the only one with a technical because he sprung up like he was about to start a fight. I thought the USU player kept a cool head. The foul itself definitely was not flagrant; he got Haws' arm, not his head. I think maybe Haws was upset because he was fouled from behind on a fast break and there was no real play on the ball. Is it the NBA that has recently said that fouls from behind on fast breaks are intentional fouls? I think if I were the official I would have called an intentional foul and a technical on Haws only.

And in the past 10 seasons we've never had two players finish with 20+. And for those of you wondering, Carlino averaged 13.83; 15.14; 15.91 in his 3 seasons with BYU (Fischer is at 12.25).

Your postings on these ratings are great! I have a question about Kyle C's (6+1=10)and Skyler H's (4=3=4)rebounds. The totals add up however, and It's confirmed that Kyle had 10.



Haws 35 pts and Kyle C's double double including 10 for 10 at the line is very commendable. Is this the best KC has ever done at the line? Winder is doing great as well. I am with you in wishing for more assists.



This team is doing great nationally. We're leading in scoring and are 6th in Pomeroy Adjo. One of the top 5 is Gonzaga. Congratulations to them. The WCC is going to be interesting. Byu is going to have to continue improving to beat these guys so it's a great opportunity in the making.

13 assists on 26 baskets that is 50%. Not sure what the standard should be. We got a lot of free throws.

I agree, don't think it should have been flagrant, but came close because the defender grabbed Haws' arm and didn't let go, ultimately throwing him to the ground. It could have easily injured Haws. I don't think anyone should have gotten a technical on that play. It was pretty benign. No one really said anything and there wasn't really much pushing or anything else. Just break it apart and move on. The game wasn't getting out of control and didn't need to be reigned in at that point.

I believe in the NBA an 'intentional' foul is in fact a flagrant type I. (The kind you don't get throw out for).



I haven't seen the play but in general if a guy has you beat on a fastbreak and you foul him from behind, then it better be very clear you were making a play on the ball. I think refs should default to calling flagrants and it is up to the defender to 'prove' it isn't a dangerous play.

I think the announcers said the rule is different in the NBA vs NCAA. NBA it is a F1.

Pretty dirty foul on Haws. I'd have been ready to throw down if someone did that to me. Would expect the same if I had done it to someone.



Did anyone see halford's pass (who was sitting at about 3 point line) to Haws along the baseline? One of the best passes I've seen.
