Thomas chooses Indiana

Yeah, the AQ schools have no advantages when it comes to recruiting. This is freaking Indiana! Why would a kid choose INDIANA FOOTBALL over a perennial top 15 program if they couldn't say, "well, you have a shot to play in the Rose Bowl."



Absurd.

BYU hadn't even offered him a scholi. I would go to Indiana to if that was the only place that was going to give me a free ride.

If it were me, I'd take the scholarship too. Unless the kid is an idiot, I don't think the Rose Bowl thing made much of a difference. In any given year, Indiana has as much chance of making the Rose Bowl as BYU does of making the BCS National Championship. Everyone knows that, especially in Bloomington, West Lafayette, Columbus, and Ann Arbor.

BYU is one of the few non-AQ schools who I don't think would get a bump in recruiting if it became a BCS school. I don't see BYU's recruiting changing all that much with an automatic bid for the MWC.

I disagree. I think we keep more of the top LDS kids we now lose to PAC10 teams. And if we were in the PAC 10, we get almost all of them. Which is why the PAC 10 does not want us.

We would get a few more guys from within our already established recruiting base. I don't think our recruiting base would expand any.

I apologize. I thought he chose Indiana over BYU with both schools offering scholarships.



Does anyone know if Bradley has the football IQ to play that open safety spot? Buckner or Eason could slide right into that corner slot, and we already upgrade the speed. I know this only works if Bradley can make the mental switch.

I'd rather pay my own way than go for free at Indiana. In fact, I'd rather not play at all then go there.
