This article makes some fine points that are spot on. And it makes me sick. People criticized me for posting that people are calling for broncos job and replacing him with sitake.



The author Brad Rock states "Stevenson suggested the Cougars hire Utah defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake. (I agree that he would be a find head coach.)"



Go eat crow.

No one said some people aren't calling for Sitake, there's you, derek stevenson, and the 1 guy who committed money to the fundme campaign. The rest of us are just saying that you 3 are being short sighted.



If Sitake is really head coaching material then he should get be a head coach and Montana State, NDSU, or some other smaller school and prove it on the field.



BYU should only hire someone with head coaching experience, unless we want to go through the same growing pains all over again.

What do you recommend?





Stay with BM and stay in the current pattern (things are not likely to change after 10 years - average recruiting, bad assistants, hard headed know it all, lose big games and live off weak competition and get 8-10 wins vs this comp)?



Risk it with an up and coming coach who could be the next Lavell or the next Crowton?



Look for an LDS coach with head coaching experience? There aren't many who would take the job that it would be appealing to (maybe Navy's coach).



We are in a tough spot. BYU has a ton of restrictions which limits the pool of candidates and BYU was not what it once was, not sure it is a desired spot for an experienced coach (if you disagree give some examples to refute the point).



As much a people hate KW he would have been a better coach than BM, no question. He would have fit in with BYU's standards etc, he uses what he has at Utah just like BM would if he were anywhere else. KW is a better motivator, better at winning big games, better at using assistant coaches etc etc.



Would love thoughts? My guess is most would stick the course and hope something magically changes. Personally we stick with BM until a better alternative arises.

Go re-read what I have posted. Not once was I calling for him saying he was a better replacement. That requires point of views from those that are for it and those that are not. Complete opposite of what you do. By the way you forgot Brad Rock too. But he doesn't know what he's talking about either. He just gets paid for his opinions.

Thanks for proving my point snoscythe. Only want to discuss things when things are going well for BYU. Otherwise it's just jokes and slander when you cant face the truth.

Nice deflection. I find it humorous that you try to pigeon-hole me as "only" wanting to discuss certain things, when the point of the photo was to highlight your recent obsession with replacing Howell with Sitake. I've at least posted on other topics over the last week or so. A quick search of your posts reveals that's literally the "only" topic you've seen fit to address on the board since October 19th. In fact, my thoughts on Howell and Bronco were just this afternoon posted in another thread. Keep banging away on that one note.

cannot find anything other than one concept to discuss. Like a one-note symphony, the audience quickly tires of it.

Nearly every topic has someone else talking about replacing bronco. The current game thread mentions it a dozen times at least. Seems to be much more than a 3 person band to me.

The players in the article ... only one was calling for Bronco's job. The other voiced concerns and worries ... just like most of us.



There is a problem that needs fixing ... and it is going to require something significant to make a change in the team now. I'm pulling for Bronco to get it done.

Well, there are certainly more former players wanting on or trying to avoid getting on the bandwagon. Hoke is not pam Bronco era player for far more legit than DSL, and even he is tweeting that there are serious doubts about a coaching staffs ability to right the ship. He didn't mention coaches directly, but very concerned.
