BoiseBYUWe've had such horrible news with catastrophic injuries and losing to a rival. So here's my optimistitic speak
As my friend BYULV said on a different thread, I'm more excited than ever to see this team battle adversity. No more ho hum Taysom will save us. No more deepest DBs in history. We may lose more games, but the competitive effort might be even greater and that is really fun to watch.
Two defensive players really stood out and there may be more but I thought Tuiloma and Takitaki played great! The run was stuffed! And there was a pass rush!
I've probably been harder on the OLIne than my expertise justifies, but they played a good game. We ran on a very stingy run defense and Stewart was given time most of the night. Room for improvement to be sure, but that line is coming along, even with their own injuries
Brown and Lasike carried the team! They took it on their shoulders and carried the team! I haven't seen that bruising of a run game in ages.
Stewart most always played within his game. He had a rough start, but ran wisely and passed all in all better than most of us hoped for his first start.
Sampson has become money and Arrellano is turning into an All American
