Objectively Speaking

The team did not give up and neither have the coaches. BUT when your all everything QB, your best in a decade RB, 3 of 4 starting DBs, your best LB, etc are injured, well, this team is not that deep to overcome. After going up 24-10, the blue zone fumble changed things and it seemed we didn't have the stamina to hold serve. On the bright side, I thought the OLine had their best game. Takitaki looks like he has arrived. Arellano has turned into a real asset and our FG kicker has turned into money. At present, we are not a New Years Day team and I suspect we lose to BSU and Cal, but this team will come to play with who is available and I'll be cheering them on.

PS, I know I'm not really objective.

I loved seeing the fight in this team. It would have been incredibly easy to give up after losing JJ, Bills, and JW. But they didn't and they fought on. It wasn't enough, but it was impressive.

As a college football fan ... being objective is over-rated!



One thing to remember about CS .... he was the starter for what? 3 practices and a long flight before he had to perform last night. Took him a bit to get settled ... he is a talented young man who will look good this year.



I was pleasantly surprised with the way Brown and Lasike played ... those two showed a power game that I loved to watch! I hope JW heals quickly and when he does that the coaches don't forget what our two big boys have shown. With the three of them, our running game could be impressive.



The Cougs showed they can overcome adversity. Too early to predict BSU and/or Cal ... but I like the the Cougs to beat Nevada!



PS: objectively that was defensive pass interference on the last play! ;)
