BYU vs Opponent Average thru Week 6

Even though it was a bye week for BYU, the Cougars’ four opponents all played games, so we get more data to see how BYU is doing against our opponents.

UConn didn’t play. So no changes here, but UConn easily remains the worst team BYU has played so far this year. It’s possible they’ll finish as 2nd worst – only better than Savannah St.

It’s starting to look more and more that the Houston games was a passing game aberration for the red Cougars. They were considerably better against the blue Cougars than they have against any other team. Their PER was 40.6% better than their average.

Colors seem right with a quick glance, except Utah State colors seem to be inverted., but I'm not sure that it was a bye week for the Cougars, although that would explain their play against USU since none of the players showed up.

This, plus one color inversion on UCONN.



BYU offense by all measures is doing well, although the loss of Hill may change that. By several measures the defense is not doing well, and the trend is really bad.
