Jimmy Mac as GA

Listening JM talk about the offense back in the day. Could he install the pass attack of old and help the team out?

Back in the day, BYU was the only one doing this and thus quarterbacks were willing to come and wait their turn to run it. Then everyone started doing it and BYU has not had quality depth at QB since Bosco backed up Young.



But wait, now that almost everyone is moving away from it again, maybe BYU could become the last repository for the drop back - statuesque - passer - no mobility required.

Would be awesome. Look at what Leach is doing up at WSU. If that team had any semblance of a defense they'd be killing it right now.



I don't by the argument "everyone is doing it now so it won't work." Leach and his Cougs is testament.



I hope option football is done at BYU. So far, all its produced is two injured QBs.

what I actually said is we are beyond the everyone is doing it phase and now everyone moved to something else.

Ha, interesting but not going to happen. Jimmy Mac has been having some issues from concussions and would have major HC issues. He was great to see play but no way he is a fit.
