We just saw the last game for Taysom Hill in a BYU uniform. No way he comes back to run this offense at 25 years old if he has any desire to play in the NFL.

I don't see Hill getting drafted very high if he chooses to go pro. Not after only a 4 game season.

He was leaving for sure with Heisman talk and a complete season behind him. Now I am not so sure. He was a 4th round projection for last year, a late first round projection so far this year, and now, who knows?



I think he comes back, personally. I doubt that a team not coached by Jim Harbaugh (who might not be coaching by season's end) would draft him. Third round at best, probably.

Amen. Anae is sacrificing his future by not developing Taysom as a passer.

Now he most likely has to cone back. He did not prove he can pass the ball. And look at all the mobile QBs in the NFL who have gone down to injury.

Now let's see if Anae can wreck the backup qb.

Hopefully Taysom comes back and continues to learn. His passing improved. His Red Zone efficiency improved.



He still needs serious work on his pocket presence, seeing the field, and learning to throw the ball away. This would greatly cut down on the hits he is taking.

I think he's gone. The nfl has a tendency to draft as much on potential as they do results. Taysom has ended two of his three seasons early (against Utah State). He'll go pro. Someone'll take him

Go watch the replay. Anae went into this game with the clear intent to prove Hill could beat USU with his arm. USU was vulnerable to the long ball. Taysom once again proved that he is not accurate enough to hit wide open receivers in stride with the long ball. With better throws, Matthews could have eaten up USU like he did last year.



I do not think a QB that cannot throw deep with sccuracy, with a history of knee and leg injuries on ill-advised plays will go high.



The irony is that he should have just taken a knee 2 years ago. And he should have given it to Williams last night.

I agree that BYU was attempting to keep Hill in the pocket last night. Until the end of that first half, he had very few run attempts (IIRC).
