A Couple of Interesting Articles About BYU FB

This next article is about the PI penalties during the game which I have heard so many complaints about. BYU defensive coordinator Nick Howell gives his opinion about them. It may surprise some of you what he had to say.



In the article, he said that the PI by Povey was not a bad, careless, or stupid penalty. The receiver had gotten pass Povey and would have mad a TD if Povey hadn't committed the penalty. Howell said he would have even tackled the receiver to prevent the TD.

Actually. I think he meant that due to a broken assignment by another player, PoVey, as safety, had to scramble over to try to clean up the mess.
