USU is bad

BYU should dominate this game... USU won the turnover battle by 3 and still couldn't win...over Arkansas State



This is a game where our size and speed should simply wreck USU... they are a wounded animal right now... time to put them out of their misery.



I hope the Cougars use it to get Nick Kurtz ready for UCF, let Harvey Jackson start at safety and let Leavitt play the nickel (less Povey, more game changers; or at least find out if Harvey has a higher ceiling), and pound the ball with Lasike and Alge once we have a decent lead.



No reason to risk JW or Taysom in this game... put it to bed early. I'd also like to see a lot of Fred Warner, Harvey Langhi, Jordan Preator, and Sae Tautu

USU is already seeing the "benefits" of Weber as their OL coach.

Let's hope so. My biggest criticism is an old one and that is that this BYU team, as most have, will play to their level of competition. FOR ONCE, I would like to see their mental game be tough all the way thru to at least the third Q where starters are getting pulled and other guys are getting some decent minutes. But, alas, I don't see it happening. BYU players and even possibly their coaches will take their foot off the gas by the time BYU has a two or three touchdown lead--whenever that occurs. It's the same reason this team is not likely to go undefeated, and/or will squander an amazing opportunity with this schedule by not blowing out teams they should--BECAUSE THEY ABSOLUTELY HAVE THE TALENT AND COULD--but won't, bc they are still weak mentally.

I wouldn't be surprized to see BYU start this next game unnecessarily slowly and half asleep. They know USU is wounded and will fall asleep this week with nothing to get them motivated. Then by third quarter, they will change their magical socks and wake up just enough to pull off a squeaker. Oh, bother. :sulk:

Anyone want to bet me a SMASH burger that the USU game will not be a blow out?

BYU should score 50+ but won't and that's my wager. I can handle 10-14 points but could even tolerate 21 with scrubs getting some points against BYUs scrubs. But no reason BYU should not drop 50 vs USU.

If Smash burger weren't absolutely terrible, I would maybe consider it.

Good question. Sorry to be a little vague.

Criteria 1: BYU scores 50 Points

Criteria 2: Hold USU under 21 (should be freakin breeze)

Criteria 3: Shut out USU and BYu score 40-50.



BYUs O has to explode this next game. THeir best defender, Fackrel is out.

That certainly would be a blowout, I might look at and define a blowout by 30+ points. Texas was a blowout, UCONN was close to being a blowout. But I think the game could also be a blowout with the final score being closer than 30 points just by the feel of the game, or the other team getting a couple of late scores.



Even if Keaton is back for the BYU game, I still don't think he will do a lot against BYU.

You are right. I think that kid is done. Sad.

Just like Pitta. I think he is done as well. great competitors.

I think a win by more than 21 points constitutes a blowout.
