Unintended crackback on Broncos 630am practice times?

BYU will play a better 2nd half against UVA than they did against Houston cuz they won't be playing during their bedtime.





What kind of excuse making is this from Nate Meikle? BYU players cant play at 830 or 9pm? What about UH who was playing at 1030 or 11pm their time?

Is Nate bashing on the early practice times, suggesting that BYU players are compelled to get to bed earlier than they would normally to practice? Who knows, maybe he is right. Did the team meet thursday morning at 630am? Could have been a long day.

I don't think it was an excuse or anything. Just an observation. The unintended consequence is that it's tough to get 105 people on the same schedule.



I think BYU was tired offensively the 2nd half vs Houston because the team was tired after two long road trips and a short week. And if the rumors about Taysom being sick probably are true since he did seem off his game. They weren't tired defensively as Houston stunk on offense in half two.

Interestingly, some pretty large studies have just come out, establishing that at least for teenagers and high school students, starting school at say 8:45 rather than 7:45 am will result in better learning and performance

TH was not sick according to two coaches. A rumor that was started on rumor board.

While this may be true, the issue isn't when students are starting their learning day, the issue is when students are ending their day. You could start school at 10am and high school students would only take that to mean they could stay out even later than they do now.



A more regular and earlier bed time is what they need. Not later school.

I could be wrong, but it seemed to me like Meikle was just making a joke
