It's standard fare. In Austin the walk-through scoreboard was about the same, but in favor of the Longhorns. They've got to test the equipment, so they have some fun while they're at it.

yes, and BYU supposedly stoked the fire of Texas when they did the "horns down" symbol at the center of Texas stadium. I don't buy any of it. It won't make any difference once the ball is kicked off.

Just a whole different feeling this week facing Houston at home. We all know the team that is coming can beat us--they have the resources of talent, but we've got the moxie and swagger this week. I loved watching After Further Review last night (I had taped it from the night before). David Nixon pointed out at one point that one of the aspects of the Texas game that really impressed him was that we were up against equal or superior athletes in some of the field battles, but our boys played assignment football and usually made sure their jobs were taken care of. That kind of play will beat superior teams, but it should enable us to come off more successful against teams like Houston. I was surprised that Dave McCann, David Nixon, Blaine Fowler and Brian Logan all picked BYU by many points with most of them predicting we score upwards of 40-60 points.
