After pounding Texas in Texas, BYU deserves to be ranked. They should have been ranked in the other poll too.

Yeah, but how many coaches are actually watching football and submitting their own vote? A buncha' know-nothing grad-assistants and interns are casting these votes.

I luv the Cougs cracking into the Top 25. But, to me, just as much fun is - the Yewts are ranked #43 and got only 2 votes. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Even if you didn't watch the games or even the highlights and just looked at the box score 41-7 at Texas should have garnered enough attention to get them in the top 25 of the coaches poll. The reason the coaches poll is bogus is because all of the "power 5" schools are more concerned with getting their own teams in the top 25 in order to make their own schedules look harder than they are about actually voting teams in who deserve to be there.

In all honesty, BYU should - if they continue to win - move up at least one position each week the rest of the season.



BYU should, at a minimum be entering the Cal game ranked somewhere around #13.

An undefeated BYU will be way higher than 13 if they are undefeated going into Cal. In 1996 we were well within the top 10 with one loss and no wins any more noteworthy than our Texas win.

Ranking would be higher if we would have got any highlights shown on SportsCenter, ESPN News, or SportsCenter U. :(

Agreed. It was a minimum I was giving. I also think that our ceiling of a ranking is about #5 or #6. There is no way the powers that be are letting us even sniff the Top 4.
