OK--you guys finally got me. Got my tickets and I'm going to the game.



I was shocked that they were not only selling the endzone seats, but I paid the $10 for seats in section 102 where yesterday those seats were selling for $45 plus 7.50 fee. That's about where I had my seats when I had season tickets.



Scalpers are going to have a hard time unloading tickets where they are selling those kinds of deals on the day of the game. It looks like BYU would rather sell a seat at any price rather than have the seats empty.

Well, pretty clear a stadium expansion is not gonna happen anytime soon. Zero need for it if we can't sell out a home opener for a ranked 2-0 team with some buzz.

I truly believe it is a function of the fact that it's too easy to watch all of the games on TV. The $10 tickets are going fast. I just went to buy one more and now all sidelines are gone. Just 15 minutes ago there were 50-some.



I honestly don't know what the solution is because you want TV exposure, but that does affect attendance. It has mine.

On the original FB promo, there was simply $1.50 in fees. It looks like on this newer promo, it's $8.50 base, but there's a $4.00 fee to print the tickets, so it's actually between $12-14 or so for this round.

It's a combination of being on TV and the sky-high cost of tickets. You can pay for an entire year of cable TV for the same price to send the entire family to 1 BYU game.



Last year, when the team had hardly any hype, the cheapest seats I could get were $90 nose bleed seats in the endzone. And, I was buying them about two months in advance.



Sorry, I have little sympathy for BYU when it comes to filling the stadium. If they want BYU fans with their families to attend games they need to drop the ticket prices, significantly.



I'm buying tickets for the Cal game, and if I were to get the same seats at Cal that I got last year at BYU, I would pay $30/ticket.

:skeptic: Huh? Not to be too adversarial, but BYU's football tickets are famously cheap. I bought my lower bowl, north end zone, season tickets for $135...that's for 6 games ($22.50 per game). Ask Utah fans or any other "big" program fans how much their season tickets are. Complaining about the price of the football tickets is not really a good argument, in my opinion.

I don't live in Utah. I was in town for one weekend as part of a Hall of Fame ceremony for my wife. Tickets through BYU cost $90 each. I ended up getting some through Stubhub for something like $50 each.

BYU should seriously consider blacking out home games.
