DeVonI have always been a Texas fan and I love that we've been able to play them a few times over the last several years. But I will say that I am very glad that we are playing them in Charlie Strong year 1 and not Charlie Strong year 3. He is exactly what that program needed and I love that he is holding young men accountable. He is going to re-establish a toughness in a program that will continue to get top talent, which will result in national championships. Could you imagine if Bronco's tough program had the luxury of the talent pool that Texas has? It would be amazing for us and it will be for Strong. Good for him. If I'm a Texas fan I'm willing to suffer through what may be a tough year (and by "tough" year I mean 7-5 or 8-4) in order to fix the attitude of the program going forward.
On a different note, my friend bought me a plane ticket and a game ticket to go down and watch the game with him and I just found out that our tickets are on the 5th row behind the BYU bench. So stoked to go watch my two favorite football teams do battle, hope BYU can pull it off.
