Just caused a forced fumble in the Red Zone but the ref ruled the pass incomplete.

Ziggy not playing today.

I saw he was on the front page of espn.com missing a sack on 4th and one on Johnny Manziel. Johnny went on to pick up the first down. Nice to see Van Noy playing in the pros regardless.

Saw that as well. Would have been the play of the night if he could have got that sack.

Van Noy looking enormous. Seriously, looks 2x his size last year.

Could be a stunt double.

He does look way bigger. He wore really small shoulder pads at the Y. The pads that he is wearing now are more typical for a LB.

He missed the sack, but he blew the play up in the backfield, and Manziel didn't get the first down. They had to punt. The Cleveland commentators were complimentary of "the end's pursuit". The the token meat head in the NFL Network studio said that "the end missed the tackle on what should have been a huge loss on the play", and that Manziel needs to read the end better and hand that ball off.

We must be talking about a different play. The one that is being shown on the espn highlight that I was referring to was on 4th and one (so no punting after if they don't convert). Manziel converts and the recap guy confirms as well (I just rewatched it to be sure).

I didn't see the play that you mentioned. I remember hearing about a 4th down scramble that converted a 1st down. I didn't realize that KVN whiffed on that one. It seemed like he whiffed a lot during his senior year too.

Johnny football has pretty good speed, cuts and instinct. KVN will learn that with the fastest of these running qbs, he will have to work on contain rather than glamour. He almost got Johnny and if he had, he would have made Top 10 for SC. As it happened, yes, converted to 1st down and JM got to attract more attention.

The first where KVN interfered with JM and prevented the 1st down happened in JM's first series in the first half. The second one where JM converted the 4th down happened in the second half, I believe.
