BYU will beat UConn by the score of . . . . . (drumroll please). . . . . 24-6.

Depends on who is out for the game.

How is that bold? I guess bc Bronco doesn't do well historically in the first game.

So, maybe you are right. But bold usually means unexpected and not likely. I expect BYU to beat UConn by about that score.

Hasn't Bronco won 6 out the last 7 openers? I would say that's doing pretty well historically.

Just messing with you. Actually, I would be a little surprised by that score, mostly because I wouldn't expect the defense to be that solid in the first game. That would be pretty awesome.

The boldness comes in predicting BYU scoring 24 points in an opener.

BYU wins 24-23. BYU on the road = scary. BYU in September = unprepared. I so want to smack them around in preparation for UT, but Bronco has not earned this type of confidence from the fans.

I don't care who they were against, that's anemic offensive output. It's so anemic that even counting the FCS team, BYU has scored more than two offensive touchdowns TWICE in Bronco's first nine years as head coach in season openers.

Whether you care about SOS or not, Bronco is about to score more than two offensive touchdowns again. SOS virtually ensures that even though BYU will probably be under prepared and jet-lagged.

Which, again, is why people were insane to vote the UConn game as one of the easiest games on the schedule. All it takes is some bad luck or maybe some crazy weather again and we're 0-1. No more excuses.
