"With San Diego State and Indiana being the top two colleges on Davis’ list, where does BYU stand? 'There are some factors [that] I’ve been talking to my parents [about],' Davis said. 'BYU has fallen out of [my] top three.'...However, there is one hang up that has caused him to reconsider BYU as a real option. 'BYU is a Mormon school,' said Davis. 'I don’t have anything against it, but I mean it is a Mormon school.'"



The change of heart apparently happened after (1) he watched Cody Hoffman's highlights (and tweeted about them a lot), and (2) spoke to Margin Hooks about his BYU experience.



The recruiting work that Coach Holliday is doing in Texas is really big for BYU. I think that Davis' comments last week and then commitment this week are evidence that a lot of kids see BYU has a great football program but might be swayed to lesser programs because they're told a lot of bad things about BYU. If you recall, we had already had a commit from Texas flip to Purdue at the last minute because people said bad stuff about BYU. Changing the perception of BYU in places like Texas could do wonders for our recruiting (especially if we can win more games)!"

4.6 speed?....as a wide receiver? I wouldn't get too excited abotu him just yet...and he is undersized. So we'll see.

A.D is a great get for the cougs. Has Cody Hoffman speed as a senior to be in HS. Not a issue especially for Byu. We don't have 4.4 guys breaking down the door. Good size,technique, and route running skills usually are the most important. If he can get his 40 time down to 4.5 then i'd be tickled blue! :evil:
