StirfryI heard a portion of an interview with Gunther yesterday and Bronco said in no uncertain terms that he is never going back to a non-P5 conference. He also doubled down that BYU is ready to commit whatever it takes to remain competitive with the top of college football.
Another thing he discussed was why he went out and mentioned that heâd love to be in the Big12. Without a conference there isnât anyone out there sticking up for BYU and advocating for them so he said he just decided he should start doing it. It seems heâs become much more savvy at using the media for his gain instead of just seeing the downside of it. He implied that the response to his comments was exactly what he was looking for and he was pleased with all the national attention it received.
After the interview Gunther (which typically still is very pro Ute but can give BYU their due from time to time) talked about how at BYU there really is a difference with the players and that they are a more impressive group of kids than a typical team. He loves Jamaal Williams.
