NBC’s Chuck Todd Took a Look at the Latest Obama Poll Numbers and Came to a Stunning Conclusion: ‘The Public Is Saying [Obama's] Presidency Is Over’

“Essentially the public is saying your presidency is over.”



That was NBC News reporter Chuck Todd’s takeaway from the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC poll that doesn’t bode well for President Obama.

The new national poll from NBC and the Wall Street Journal is stuffed with bad news for President Obama. His job approval rating — 41 percent — is as low as it has ever been. Four in ten Americans say the performance of his administration has gotten worse over the past year. Large majorities disapprove of how he is handling foreign policy, which has been front and center of late thanks to the eroding situation in Iraq and the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner swap.



And yet, all of those bad numbers pale in comparison to how people responded to this question: "Thinking about the rest of Barack Obama's term as president, do you think he can lead the country and get the job done or do you no longer feel that he is able to lead the country and get the job done?"



Fifty-four percent — let me repeat, 54 percent — said that Obama "cannot lead and get the job done," while just 42 percent said he could lead.

I'd love if it was really over. Somehow I think he's just going to double down on everything that's failed America over the past 6 years. I think he is going to ram even more communism down our throats.

I wonder if he still thinks his legacy will be greater than George Washington?

The fact that the majority of people feel his presidency is over could in fact be extremely bad news for we the people.



An Obama administration that no longer cares about seeking public approval because it's no longer obtainable can proceed recklessly, instituting policies and executive orders that fly in the face of all of our freedoms that have only been held in check by the desire to remain popular.

Don't scare me.

All your fears and concerns are unfounded, unwarranted, and ridiculous. Barack Obama is the "smartest" and "bestest" man (individual. person, etc.), to ever occupy the White House. He's going to fix everything.

Liar liar.

I had an opportunity to ask Barry himself about Mr. Todd's comments. His answer?

I am very confused - if there were no WMD's in Iraq, howl did ISIS just seize Saddam Hussein's chemical weapon factory? Chemical weapons are WMD's aren't they?

Yes, but the ignorant media meant nuclear weapons even though it was very evident that chemical weapons would be just as deadly in the hands of terrorists. Its the same issue with "magazine clips." The media doesn't even try to understand.

Not if you hate Bush and want obama/clinton types to jack the rest of us around.
