These valuations are all over the place YoY. There would need to be some smoothing to these numbers. There are outliers they would need to handle, I would put a value of a program over a 3 year revenue number and factor in future contracts (TV, shoes etc) to get a real number vs just grabbing a one year rev model and throwing on a multiple. If BYU made a BCS game and given they don't share revs they would shoot up astronomically.



Overall numbers are too volatile, but interesting either way.

The list doesn't include most private universities. I don't see Notre Dame, Stanford, or USC, for instance. Does anyone know what BYU's revenue and profit margin numbers look like? Based on the list, I'm guessing BYU is somewhere in the $55-65 million range (similar to Colorado, Georgia Tech, Iowa St., Maryland, Oregon St., etc.)



PS - how in the world are UNLV, Air Force, Houston, Central Florida, and Rutgers getting over 50% subsidy? Where does that come from? Is it student subsidies (ie, from tuition)?

Using the third link from NDCougar's post, BYU has the highest value of any non-P5. More "proof" that we're the best option for any conference (ahem Big "12") that wants/needs to expand. Next highest non-P5 is Connecticut.
