Change the Utah Fight Song

Interesting that some feel offended with the phrase "Utah Man." Personally, I've never been offended by an oxymoron.

A lot of BYU fans are having a hoot with this, but they should probably refrain.



Anyone else still sing "stalwart men and true"? BYU gave into the feminists back in the 90s on that one, and I bet 98% of BYU fans don't even remember a time before "loyal, strong, and true".

About 25% of the time I still sing "stalwart men and true". I left BYU in 1996 and I don't remember exactly the timing or situation that led to the change.



It has been interesting now that I'm living in Utah again to hear the Ute faithful get up in arms about it, when I have no memory of the change in our own Alma Mater.

Well, it is bigger for them as it's the name of the song and recurring line that's being changed.

Get them to change the stupid tune (or play it less thant every second of every rivalry game) and then I'll pay attention.



But like others, I still sing "stalwart men and true" a few times, but after these years I'm slowly comming to full acceptiance of "loyal strong and true"
