The Lord never works statistically, at least as it regards to His prophets. Statistically, He never would have called Joseph...an unlearned young man from the backwaters.....

Harold B. Lee was supposed to be the prophet for a long time due to being relatively young and in good health. But of course, that didn't last too long.

Sorry, I couldn't follow the link. It just takes me to a page that has many messages in that unreadable format...none of which, as far as I could tell mentioned the statistical analysis. I would like to read it. It should be interesting.

Looks like it got remove. It calculated the percentage chance of each apostle becoming the president due to age and place in line. Bednar had a large percentage because he is so young. Most of them had a small percentage due to their own age. That is all that I remember.

That's what I would have suspected. It won't be too long, I suspect, before we lose Elder Packer and Elder Hales. President Monson has slowed quite a bit as well. Elder Perry would be the next most senior apostle after President Monson and Elder Packer, but I think President Monson still has quite a few years left in him, though assuredly it will be the Lord who decides when his work is done here.

Whoever he is there will be plenty of battles. I hope I'm wrong about this but court rulings and the direction of politics isn't in favor of the way of righteousness. I will pray for the one the Lord chooses.

No, I expect our path of discipleship may become very difficult indeed, the more wicked the world becomes. We have not yet seen the full brunt of the physical persecutions and the mass apostasy (though Prop 8 in Cali gave members a glimpse), but you can certainly see it on the horizon.
