Improving Recruiting II

Okay guys, lets try to not get this thread locked. If you know me, you know I am big on supporting the team and look to even more improvements on recruiting studs to the team. Says 300 coaches from 10 states came for a workshop. I know we have done these in the past but has it grown including out of state coaches? It has been reported, that some out of state coaches are anti BYU or know nothing about the school that might hurt us. These workshops could help us in this area, don't you think?

This is a GREAT idea. I hope seeds are sown for future successes.

This is important. My guess is that they invited all the coaches that have players that BYU has or will be recruiting in the next 3 to 4 years, plus some others.



My understanding is that Bronco is very good in these coaching clinics.

I'll just regurgitate what I hear from coaches down here in TX who run bad teams in wealthy area schools..."we need more black kids."



I wonder if it isn't just that simple for BYU sports too, both bball and fball. You need legit athletes who are game changers. And that means more black and poly kids. BYU back in the day was able to win because everyone else was also mainly white. But the games have changed, and BYU is stuck in an old mentality that is agonizing fans. Although, I will concede that if they could get the top LDS talent in each class then perhaps a majority white team could make noise. But I think the odds of that ever happening are very low.
