...Or is Boise State going to make twice as much $$$ playing in the Fiesta Bowl as TCU?



I remember hearing a rule that the non-BCS auto-qualifier only gets about half the pay of the BCS auto-qualifiers. BSU, as opposed to TCU, is simply an at-large pick. I think the Broncos get about double the cash as the Frogs. This is before the distribution to all the non-BCS conferences, which is a head-scratcher in and of itself.



Someone check the website, this crap gets confusing fast...

The way I understand is, the six BCS conferences share the money of their six auto-bids and additional bids are only shared by that conference. The non-AQ teams are considered one conference for TCU's bid but not Boise's.



So, the six BCS conferences share the money from Texas, Alabama, Ohio St, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati and Oregon. But the Big 10 does not have to share Iowa's money and the SEC does not have to share Florida's money.



The non-AQ teams all share in TCU's money but the WAC does not have to share Boise's money.

This may be true. What I was thinking was: TCU in the Fiesta- $8MM, BSU- $18MM. Something like that. And it may be the conference-sharing issue that makes it turn out that way.
