Slow WHAT white guy WHAT

For years we have been hearing about how BYU only gets slow white guys and so we have to outexecute in order to win. This comment on pro-days

Matthews may not be blazing, but that is certainly not considered slow. OF course, his was our best time, so the rest of our WR are going to be slower than that. But Sorenson was the fastest athlete in the combine. That is no where near slow white guy. Talent is a-changin at the Y. Lookin good.

Fastest in shuttle. I would say quickest in shuttle, average in 40. 40 isn't everything. And shuttle speeds are going to get Danny drafted. Otherwise, he wouldn't be drafted.

it likely will get him drafted. Late round. Possibly last round. Otherwise he will get a look and sign as an undrafted free agent.

Aks the Raiders or Jets* how important 40 times are. BTW its been reported that Jerry Rice and Chris Carter ran no better than a 4.6. Of course neither panned out either :roll: .



(*Jets passed on Emmit Smith to draft RB Blair Thomas and his 4.4 instead of Emmit's 4.7)

His 40 time was the fastest of his teammates in Provo on Pro Day - but equaled the average of all athletes from all schools IN THE COMBINE a couple of weeks ago - in other words average for players WITH REALISTIC HOPES to get drafted.

Fixed it. I thought we all understood that the combine is an exclusive invitation only event and not even all of those get drafted.

I'm curious as to why there was even a need to poo-poo what Sorenson and Matthews had done... or attempt to correlate that with the rest of our team?



I'm amazed by both and personally feel like it says a lot about how much better BYU is getting on the athleticism front.

There is no rain cloud. The OP just seemed to make it more than it is.



The rain cloud, if you are referring to me, predicts a very late round pick or undrafted free agent depending which of the 3 individuals. Pretty fast for white guys. As you know - Draft combines SIZE, SPEED, ATHLETICISM, and intangibles.



Assuming you are the sunshine, are you predicting something different?
