Oregon State to Las Vegas... Still?

I think it looks that way unless the emerald bowl passes on usc.

He's got a point though. The Emerald DOES have its CHOICE 4th or 5th in the Pac-10. I can only assume that means they can either take the last of the 2nd place ties left to them, OR either of the teams tied for 5th place. If that last 2nd place team isn't Stanford (whom they want, but likely won't get), they could very well take Cal or USC, leaving Oregon State to the Vegas Bowl.



So my question is: is the Vegas contract SPECIFIC about "which" 4th/5th place Pac-10 team they can or must take? In other words, if the Emerald bowl DOES take one of two 5th place teams INSTEAD of the last of the 2nd place tied teams (the 4th place team, for all intents and purposes), is the Vegas bowl contractually required to take THAT "4th" place team, or are they contractually ABLE to take the OTHER 5th place team, leaving the 4th place team to be collected by the Poinsetta Bowl? INTERESTING!!!
