The key is for those teams on the outside looking in to not make a deep run in their conference tournaments. I think BYU gets in as a #12 seed, avoids the play-in game, and gets sent to Spokane since that is where I will be come one week from Thursday :)

Heard Georgetown lost to DePaul, their bubble just popped.

Safely? Not until the name is announced. Sounds like it will be first 4 in Dayton. Hope it's not Dayton as the opponent.

Being considered the last team in is never safe.



We honestly should be the 5th to 7th last team in, not the very last team in.

Cougs will be a 12 seed and play back east in round 1. If they somehow don't get selected, there will be two major glaring reasons why they were passed over... going 2-7 in their most important non-conference games and having 4 bad losses to teams currently ranked 108, 142, 149 and 167 in the nation (Portland, Pepperdine, Pacific and Loyola-Marymount). But their RPI should get them in... barely. However... they will get beaten soundly in round 1 by whoever the 5 seed is - this will not be one of the annual 12 over 5 upsets - with KC gone, Cougs are in even more trouble than they were facing a top 5 seed or better in the big dance.

Dayton is 23-10 with an SOS of 83... BYU will most likely be a 12 seed if they get in... how would Dayton be a 5 seed?
