Coaches' Poll BYU drops to 14, TCU moves up to 3

BYU ground to LSU even though neither played. SEC buddies holding strong.



TCU moves up and Florida drops to 5th. No surprise to me that BSU didn't move.

Do I recall that this is the first year that in the Coaches Poll, the coaches are able to spew corruption with impunity... I mean, that the ballots are all anonymous even at the end of the regular season?



Of ALL years, this would be the one to want to see where the Coaches actually stood.



I'm SO disgusted with this sport right now.

Nevermind (about the year they get to act as corruptly as they want without any culpability, anyway). Apparently it's the final ballot of NEXT season that'll remain Gadiantoned. I guess USA Today just hasn't put out who voted for whom yet.

AND I'm disappointed that Gary Patterson didn't vote TCU #1. I know we've had this discussion before, but there's NO reason for him to think his team isn't any more capable of beating EVERY team in the country than any other team. Just sad. We can't even get our OWN guys to put us where we belong.

Yeah. USA Today lists who votes under the results (or at least they did on the one today. Check CP's link at top).

Man up GP and stop worrying about being PC. You have as much right to the NCG as Texas or Bama. I respected Kyle for "sticking it" to the BCS by voting for his pukes #1 last year after the bowl season though I hated how apologetic he was when he was questioned about it. Own dude, you slaughtered the "vaunted SEC" and were undefeated. You had as much claim to a NC as Florida.

The following coaches should be reprimanded by the conference officials for not voting Boise and TCU #1 and #2, in some order, in the final Coaches Poll. Eventually these coaches need to figure things out and realize they can be the ones who really shake up the BCS. There were 25 coaches with a vote from non-AQ schools. Think how highly rated Boise St and TCU could have been if they had split the 25 first and second place votes of these coaches. I dare say TCU and Boise could have been #2 and #3 with one of them even having an outside shot of being #1.



Yes non-AQ schools are on the outside looking in, but they do have more power to control their BCS destiny than they realize. The BCS is a consortium (not necessarily a conspiracy) to keep them out. But they can come together and effect real change in the BCS.
