Bracketmatrix status

I don't have a lot of confidence in being in the 9-12 range in 51 of the 82 brackets.



I think for certain we'll need to be in the WCC champship or win our tourney or we could be on the outside looking in. Too close to call for certain.

Puketah shows up on zero of the brackets. Their coach claiming they are going to win the Puke12 tournament. Looks like their only in.

Many of the brackets shown have not been updated since last Friday the 21st and some as long ago as Tuesday the 18th. So you have to take that into consideration. I assume some of those will adjust in BYU's favor as they are updated.

The difference is we are on the bubble and they can play their way there (I doubt they will).

Yeah, kinda where I was seeing. We're definitely on the bubble and will be affected by the number of conference upsets.



Bottom line though is that the WCC had a very healthy RPI in their non-conference slate and then we seemed to lose that momentum as we, like other conferences, cannibalized ourselves. If the WCC was who everyone believed in the non-conference stage, then there really should not be such wavering talk that the 2nd place WCC team should or should not be in the NCAA dance. One bid IMHO is ridiculous.

I feel like the WCC should be a 2 bid conference this year.

That's my point. It should, at the demise of a "power" conference receiving several bids, be honored above some specific team's RPI, etc. if their conference has 4-7 bids.

My point is that if Jamie Zaninovich as the WCC commissioner cannot get 2 bids for the WCC, then his usefulness on that tournament committee has been lost and he might as well saved his time for more important issues.

Yeah, like trying to figure out a balanced conference schedule, instead of this mess.
