WCC Tourney Hopes

The loss by the Zags last night does not do BYU any favors. BYU needed to win their game Thursday night but then needed Gonzaga to finish strong to ensure that they are a selection no matter what. But I think it now puts the WCC in a position where even if BYU gets to the conference tournament finals they might not get in without the automatic bid.



Yesterday a lot of "bubble" teams lost and that was helpful. BYU got their win and now needs to win next Saturday against San Diego. They have to get at least two wins in the WCC tournament to have any chance and that might not even be enough.

Long shot, but BYU could still win WCC regular season. Zags need to choke 2 more times. They are on the road again next week. But unless they do lose 2 more times, you are correct. It would be better if they remained a ranked quality win for us.



NIT and home games would not be a terrible way to end this season.
