#freejimmer Kings Add Another PG/SG--Jason Terry

The Kings just traded Marcus Thornton (SG) to the Nets in exchange for Reggie Evans (PF) and Jason "The Jet" Terry (PG/SG).



Even when the Kings try to alleviate the log jam in the backcourt, they just can't seem to get out of their own way.

Jimmer needs out. The Kings are like a jail sentence.

The Sixers and Wizards both added guards today, reducing the likelihood they'll go after Jimmer today, and they were the two "most likely" to take him on. Cavs now the most likely, with Knicks also in position.

Lakers?



Per Mitch Kunzler tweet: "D'Antoni's style: No defense, shoot 3's. Sacramento is willing to trade Jimmer for a 2nd round pick. This match was made in heaven."

The Lakers are only incrementally better than the Kings. I'd like to see Jimmer go to the Spurs, Celtics, or Bulls. Pelicans or Timberwolves would be good too.



Hopefully, not the Lakers, Wizards, or Cavaliers.

Wouldn't a buyout free Jimmer up to be signed by another team? That would be great news.

Yes, but that doesn't change just how crazily the Kings have handled the whole Jimmer situation over the last few years.

So Jimmer is now basically free. But it does seem the market it pretty barren for him. He might be able to sign on somewhere, but he might have played his last NBA minutes.

Yeah, this comes right after the trade deadline, meaning that most teams who have wanted to make moves and get players to fill positions have already done so. Sucks.

Latest tweet says he was released, no buyout. So he gets to keep the money and a team might pick him up for this year and then be a free agent. Might be best for the Jimmer.

Jimmer was missing from the Kings bench tonight. He and his Rep's are working on a "buyout" with the Kings that would make him a free agent - now. Reportedly, the Memphis Grizzlies are interested in pursuing Jimmer (Knick's interested too?).



It could get interesting sooner rather than later. Jimmer has till Sat. to find a team. Jimmer just wants to be on a team that can utilize his skills and give him minutes. This will be good for Jimmer. He could go from the crappiest team in the NBA to a Playoff bound team. Bueno.

I love the quotes by the coach and owner about how Jimmer has a place in the league and how he's a great locker room guy and teammate and that he's a guy you'd want on your team. How they want him to go to a team that will allow him to play.



It's like Sacramento had no choice but to get rid of him. And that things completely outside of their control conspired against them allowing Jimmer minutes for the Kings.
