So, what is the deal with the 2016 home schedule?

While it is awesome to see BYU adding deals with USC, Stanford, ASU, Arizona, and some other great schools, it is strange seeing all of those games being post-2016 at LES, especially since BYU has exactly 1 home game scheduled for that year right now, and that is Utah State.



Right now, BYU has 3 roadies and 2 neutral games set up for 2016. And 1 home game.

I know that the 2 most popular theories are either 1)stadium upgrade, or 2)Conference invite(most likely B12), but what else could it be really?

Maybe the BoT is shutting down sports at BYU.

If it were a conference invite, already scheduling 4 home games in 2017, 3 in 2018, and 4 again in 2019 wouldn't make a lot of sense.

Or...we're just having trouble getting people to play us in our house.

With the new playoff system gonna be even harder to get good school to Provo..

Two easy answers:

1)Conference invite Escape Clause, and

2)B12 plays 8 conference games, so still need home games OOC.



Still no idea why, but it is a strange scheduling hole.

My guess is that we are just having a hard time filling the spots. i imagine the home schedule that year is going to be very very bad.
